Action Canada 2022/23: Yellowknife Study Tour

Action Canada 2022/23: Yellowknife Study Tour

In September 2022, Action Canada gathered in Yellowknife for the second study tour of the year. The Fellows received a warm welcome from the Yellowknives Dene First Nation, the Tłı̨chǫ Government and the City of Yellowknife. Conversations weaved a tapestry of links between housing, economics and reconciliation in Yellowknife and Behchokǫ̀. Getting to see the aurora at night didn’t hurt either.

Fellow Trevor Tessier ’22 shared his thoughts in a vlog about the experience:

A few great pictures of the trip were captured as well:

Don’t forget to watch the Annual Lecture on Reconciliation, recorded with Councillor Stacie Smith and Assistant Deputy Minister Kyla Kakfwi-Scott while in Yellowknife.
